What are the minimum server requirements?
The scripts have been tested on both Windows and Linux servers using PHP 4.1 and MySQL 4.

Do you provide support for MySQL or PHP?
Unfortunately, we cannot.  Since there are too many variables with any given server, we cannot support the two products.  However, both MySQL and PHP have their own support structure.

May we install the application ourselves?
Absolutely or RASoftware will be glad to install the application for you.

What is your refund policy?
All sales are final.  There are no refunds.  Please verify that your server has the minimum requirements stated above before purchasing My Group Directory.  Note:  Because of the prevalence of SPAM and/or creating excessive loads on the server, some Internet Service Providers (ISP's) do not allow bulk emails to be sent out or they require special coding for the mail feature.  Since this is beyond our control, we cannot guarantee that the mail function of the application will work (this has no effect on the directory).  If you are interested in using the emailing capability of My Group Directory, you are strongly encouraged to consult with your ISP regarding their policy before you purchase My Group Directory.  If you have any questions on the compatibility of My Group Directory with your hosting plan, please feel free to contact us.  If your ISP's policy is too restrictive, you can purchase My Group Directory without the emailing capability at a discounted price.  You may read our full Refund Policy here.

What mail function does My Group Directory use?
My Group Directory uses PHP's send mail function:
mail ( string $to , string $subject , string $message )

I have paid.  What happens next?
You will be sent an email containing a private link to an online form, which is password-protected.  The username and password are unique to you.  Once you have completed and submitted the form, we will "brand" the application for you for installation on your server.  We strive to have a 24 hour turnaround if there is no customization.  If customization is required, we will provide you an ETA when your files will be available.

I wish I had one more field!  Is customization available?  What is the charge?
Yes, customization is available.  Please contact our sales department for more information.

How can you add birthdays?
There are two ways.  First, you could put the birthday in parentheses after each name - e.g. Roy (4/15).  Or, secondly, you could add the birthdays to the free-form notes box.

Can the theme or style be changed?
Yes.  You have two options.  You may either use one of our standard themes or change the *.css files yourself.  See the help file for more information.

May I remove the copyright and/or "Powered by ..." statements?
Unless you have purchased the appropriate license and waiver from RASoftware, you are prohibited from altering or removing the copyright notice from the software.  All installations are monitored for license compliance.

Our Internet Service Provider does not have the minimum requirements to run the application.  Can you recommend a provider?
If you are looking for an Internet Service Provider (ISP) to host your directory or entire site, we can help you get set up with our ISP.  As an incentive, if you go through us and use our affiliate program, we can offer you My Group Directory for 50% off.  Contact us for more details.

Do you offer an upload service for an existing directory to the My Group Directory database?
Quite possibly.  If your members are stored in a comma delimited, tab delimited, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, or Microsoft Word (table) file, we may be able to help you.  Since there is a fee for this service, you are strongly urged to send us an example of your file, to make sure we can transfer your existing names for you.  For privacy, we only need to see the structure and one entry of the file.
